Pride still is aiming at the blest abodes, men would be angels, angels would be gods. Aspiring to be gods, if angels fell, aspiring to be angels, men rebel.

This is the in-between, the waiting that happens in the space between one note and the next, the place where you confuse his hands with the room, the dog with the man, the blood with the ripped-up sky.

He puts his hands all over you to keep you in the room.

Firefly | This is the entire show in one perfect sentence.

Reblogging this again because I’m re-watching the show and think this quote captures the essence of it. Gosh I forgot how much I love this show.

▲ music for a modern high school au where achilles is the best player on the team and patroclus wears his varsity jacket ▲

when achilles notices patroclus standing at the edge of the pitch during practice he almost ends up with the ball in his face. agamemnon yells at him to focus but odysseus, seeing patroclus, grins and jerks his head towards him. “go say hello to your boytoy,” he teases. achilles flicks him the middle finger, but the effect is lost as he’s already running over to patroclus. “hi,” he says breathlessly and leans in to kiss him. patroclus wrinkles his nose. “you’re all sweaty,” he complains although he doesn’t pull away. “and you’re wearing my jacket,” achilles retorts. “well if you will leave it in my room-” achilles interrupts him pressing a kiss to his mouth. when he pulls back, patroclus is flushed and achilles is sure he is too. “you can’t just do that every time you want me to shut up you know,” patroclus says, dryly. “try me,” achilles responds, smirking. patroclus rolls his eyes then kisses him. “works both ways,” he murmurs.
